Introduction
An individual fit
Amongst my own designed dresses there are classically elegant and extravagant ones. The models I design are always following the latest trends, fitting the characters, and can be worn for years. The dresses are made out of special textile, partially hand-made – Haute Couture quality – meeting the customer’s individuality, character and body.
Luxury you can afford
My customers are actresses, dancers, persons from the media, bank circles and public service, young and matured women. They consider the special look, high quality textile, perfect tailoring and reasonable prices, very important. Many of them have their dresses made for special occasions, such as weddings and balls. Some of them even have their entire collection designed.
Roots and influences
My attraction to arts originated from my family. I grew up with aquarelles, textile paints and the issues of the Film, Theatre, Music weekly magazine around me. I always admired the photos of actresses, actors and dancers. My father is a graphic artist, my mather is a journalist of theatre. My grandfather was an architect and interior designer, my grandmother designed and dyed silk shawls.
Since my childhood I had a great desire to create and make experiments. I engrossed with designing textile-patterns for long hours, and also drew my dreams in my exercise-book with coloured pencils and pens. When I was in my teens, I designed and sewed my own dresses and wore those at weekend parties. I knitted dozens of sweaters at school, hiding them under my desk. In the mid 80’s stylist as a profession did not exist in Hungary, but I instinctively practised it. For instance, I helped my family members, class-mates and the friends of my parents to choose the proper clothing. I always watched people in my environment and on TV, then often analysed their appearance and tried to find out what would suit them the most.
Studies and profession
I diligently drew and studied tailoring, sewing, dress-designing, immersed myself in technical books on history of fashion. After my graduation from the School of Fine and Applied Arts, I worked for professional custom and fashion designers. It was very important for me to acquire the skills of custom and fashion designing from practise.
In the meantime, I worked for the press as an editor and stylist. My drawings and articles were published in different magazines.
Since the early 90’s I write for different women’s magazines and work as an editor, journalist and stylist. From 2001 I’ve been working for Nők Lapja Café, wich is the most popular Hungarian website for women. Occasionally I give courses on fashion in schools and companies on their programs. I also appear on TV and radio programs as an expert on fashion. My association and good relationship with the media are both completing my profession.
I take different orders, I design evening and wedding dresses, casual wear, dance-dresses and uniforms aswell, and all of these are made up in my salon.
